What began as a single viral “demon face” staring out from a snow-covered mountain in southern Chile has spiraled into something much bigger. Internet explorers zooming into the remote peaks of Tierra del Fuego are now reporting an entire collection of bizarre figures — and the latest sighting is sending chills down everyone’s spine: what looks like a pyramid-type city perched on the left side of the formation.
The location sits deep inside Parque Nacional Alberto de Agostini, one of the most isolated and unforgiving places on Earth, near Cape Horn.

Here’s what people are seeing when they switch to 3D terrain view and start tilting/zooming:
- A massive demonic face as the star of the show — complete with dark hollow eyes, a wide menacing snout/mouth, and horn-like shadows.
- Right over the head — a lion’s head with mane-like ridges formed by the rock and snow.
- Underneath the demon — a short, stocky humanoid figure (some call it a “little person,” goblin, or servant) standing guard.
- And now, on the left side of the entire scene — a complex of angular, stepped shapes that strongly resemble a pyramid-type city or ancient ruins, complete with what look like structures, walls, and geometric patterns emerging from the ice and rock.
The more you pan around and zoom, the more unnatural symmetry and shapes appear. Some users claim there are dozens of smaller faces, creatures, and architectural forms scattered across the mountainside, turning the whole area into a surreal “gallery of the bizarre.”
The Internet Is Spiraling
Comments are exploding:
- “Demon king with his lion protector, a servant below, and an entire pyramid city on the left? This is not a mountain — this is a portal!”
- “Ancient lost civilization? Alien base? Or Google accidentally revealing something they shouldn’t?”
- “Patagonia is hiding an entire underworld city under the ice. First faces, now pyramids!”
Conspiracy pages are going wild, suggesting everything from ancient petroglyphs carved by a forgotten civilization, to supernatural entities, to a hidden Antarctic-style pyramid complex at the bottom of the world.
The Reality Check (But It’s Still Creepy)
While it looks incredibly deliberate, most experts point to a mix of pareidolia (our brains forcing faces and structures onto random patterns) and Google Earth’s satellite stitching glitches.
This region is extremely steep, remote, and frequently cloud-covered, so Google fills in missing imagery by mirroring and flipping terrain data. That artificial symmetry is why the demon face, lion, short figure, and pyramid-like shapes look so perfectly formed and aligned.
It’s the same reason other hard-to-image spots on Google Earth suddenly look like skulls, animals, or ruins.
Still… even with the technical explanation, flying over this spot in 3D mode feels unsettling. The sheer number of weird shapes in one isolated area makes it one of the strangest Google Earth finds of 2026.
